Subscription and Content Alliances Manager

Overview:

We are actively seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Subscription Manager to join our team in Delhi to lead the subscription marketing efforts for our portfolio of magazines- The Caravan, Champak, Grihshobha, Sarita, Motoring World and others- for both print and digital editions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategizing and managing the subscription marketing operations, including leading the tele-calling team, as well as building and maintaining alliances with digital platforms and other partners.

Responsibilities:

Subscription Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase subscription sales and revenue across the group magazines.
  • Monitor and analyze subscription metrics, identify trends, and propose corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.

Tele-calling Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate the tele-calling team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Provide training and support to enhance the team's performance.
  • Regularly evaluate the team's performance and implement improvement plans as needed.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Ensure excellent customer service to subscribers, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement retention strategies to minimize subscription cancellations.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights for continuous improvement.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Work closely with digital editorial teams as well as marketing team to develop effective subscription promotion campaigns.
  • Utilize various channels, including digital and traditional media, to promote subscriptions.
  • Analyze the success of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Regularly analyze subscription data, sales performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize subscription strategies.

Alliance Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with digital newsstand platforms and other relevant partners.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements to expand the reach of Delhi Press Magazines.
  • Collaborate with partners to create joint promotional campaigns and increase visibility.

Institutional and bulk orders- Schools, Corporates, and Government

  • Lead the efforts for bulk subscription sales with schools, colleges, and other institutions
  • Bulk subscription orders from central and state government ministries and departments for public libraries and other social causes
  • Bull sales with special interest groups aligned with each of the magazines. For example auto enthusiast groups for Motoring World, women’s clubs and interest groups for Grihshobha.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in subscription management and tele-calling team leadership.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the publishing industry and digital newsstand platforms is a plus.
